Wylex 6A RCBO Combined Arc Fault Detection Device and RCBO B Curve 18th Edition

Wylex NXSB06AFD type B curve RCBO 6A RCBO arc fault detection device (AFDD).Compliant with 18^th edition wiring regulations and suitable for domestic consumer unit installation. AFDD's detect electrical arcing faults that MCBs, RCDs and RCBOs cannot detect, providing an extra layer of circuit protection for many applications.

Arc Fault Detection - AFDD's are installed in consumer units as a protection device against arc faults. Arc faults occur when current jumps the gap between two conductive materials. Situations where AFDD's can be installed:

Premises with sleeping accommodation such as houses, hotels and hostels
Locations with a risk of fire due to the nature of processed or stored materials
Locations with combustible constructional materials
Fire propagating structures
Locations with endangering of irreplacable goods, for example museums, listed buildings and items with sentimental value
